Meet Lee Lashway

Lee has practiced business and securities law in Eugene, Oregon, since 1979. Along with his partner Alan Thayer, he is a founder of Innovative Law Group in Eugene.

Lee grew up in Eugene, and graduated from North Eugene High School.  In 1974, Lee graduated from Stanford University, receiving his bachelor’s degree “With Distinction,” and was awarded membership in the Stanford Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, an academic honorary fraternity. After spending a year working as a VISTA Volunteer in Montana, Lee began his post-graduate education at UCLA.  He received his J.D. degree from UCLA School of Law in 1979. While in law school, Lee also earned a Master’s Degree from the UCLA School of Architecture and Urban Planning, where he focused on urban economics and policy and received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence upon graduation.

Lee’s law practice emphasizes business formation (corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships), transactions, and securities compliance for capital formation by privately-held companies through exempt and registered offerings. Over the years, Lee has been principally responsible for securities compliance in private offerings totaling several million dollars. Representative clients have included medical and dental practice management companies, consumer and commercial product designers and manufacturers, senior living facilities, and internet ecommerce companies, among others.

Lee has been a member of the Board of Directors of several community organizations over the years. He was a founding Board member of the City Club of Eugene and the Eugene Ballet, and has served on the Board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Emerald Valley, the McKenzie Flyfishers, and the Steamboaters. Lee is an avid fastpitch softball fan and coach, and has coached at the youth through high school levels. He currently serves as a head coach in the Eugene Lightning Softball organization (ASA) and as assistant varsity coach at Sheldon High School in Eugene.

Lee and his wife Deanna have a daughter, and live in Eugene.
