New Employment Poster Required

The Uniform Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) applies to all employers. The U.S. Department of Labor requires employers to provide notice of the rights, benefits and obligations under the act to employees and has created a new poster for employers.

The notice may be provided to employees in ways that ensure that the full text of the notice is provided. You can hand it out, you can mail it, you can distribute it via email, etc. . . . We recommend that the safest approach is to post the USERRA poster where employee notices are customarily placed and include the notice in your employee handbook.

If you would like a copy of the USERRA poster, simply go to our client downloads page, then to employer downloads and download our employment posters.

If you would like a copy of the notice in Spanish, click on the spanish version of the employment posters.

As always, we are here to help you with your employment and business law questions. Simply call or email at anytime.
