You may be interested in an article posted on the Forbes magazine website this month. It reports on ways that lawyers, particularly those in firms with multiple lawyers and underemployed lawyers, inflate bills to their clients. You can find the article at the link below.

Just in case you are wondering, no, we do not “graze,” charge for conference rooms, pyramid, pile-on, charge for photocopies, charge for preparing bills, charge for unspecified expenses, charge for associates or paralegals doing work that should be performed by secretaries at a lower rate or bill out “rain making” partners at exorbitant rates.
